Echeverias are sun lovers. In warmer months potted varieties do however like protection from mid to late arvo sun. They do best in morning to early afternoon sun.
Care: Place echeverias where they will receive full morning sun to early afternoon sun during summer and protected full sun in winter (north facing under eaves). Water well at the roots when the soil feels dry during the growing spring-summer season and allow to dry between watering. Try not to water into the middle of the rosette as water sitting here on hot days will burn the centre and in cooler weather can lead to rot and fungal issues. Echeverias, like most succulents, don’t look sitting in water, so no drip trays. Reduce watering during the winter, always allowing the soil to dry thoroughly between waterings. Remove old leaves from the base to keep clean and free of pests and rot. Liquid feed at 1/4 to 1/2 strength of other plants during the growing season.
